Insider One uses AI across several features, including audience building, content generation, predictive scoring, and agentic AI through Agent One. This article explains how customer data is handled in those features and where to find the contractual details.
This article covers:
Which features use AI
Insider One's AI features fall into three groups: specialist agents in Agent One Teams, customer-facing agents in Agent One Audiences, and AI features built into other Insider One products. The data handling described in this article applies to all three groups.
Agent One Teams
These agents work for your team inside the InOne panel. For an overview, see Agent One Teams.
Feature | What it does | Reference |
|---|---|---|
Insight Agent | Answers questions about marketing performance and customer data in plain language, and returns charts and tables. | |
Segment Agent | Turns an audience described in plain language into a segment. | |
Campaign Agent | Builds SMS, WhatsApp, and email campaigns through dedicated agents for each channel. | |
Design Agent | Creates on-brand creative and campaign assets. | |
Journey Agent | Plans, builds, and optimizes customer journeys across channels. | |
Knowledge Agent | Answers questions about Insider One products and features, using Insider One Academy documentation. | |
Call an Agent | Adds an AI step to Architect journeys. For each user, it returns an answer you can branch on, use to personalize messages, or save to the user profile. | |
AI Decisioning | Selects the channel, send time, and content for each customer, and whether to send at all, within the content sets, review steps, and guardrails you define. In Architect, it runs through the Decision Agent element. | |
Insider One MCP | Connects Insider One to your AI tools through Model Context Protocol (MCP). |
Agent One Audiences
These agents hold conversations with your customers, using the content and knowledge bases you supply. For limits and language model details, see Agent One Audiences.
Feature | What it does | Reference |
|---|---|---|
Support Agent | Answers customer questions from your website and knowledge base content, and escalates to your team when a person needs to step in. | |
Shopping Agent | Recommends products from your catalog during customer conversations. |
AI features in other products
Feature | What it does | Reference |
|---|---|---|
Smart Segment Creator | Turns a plain-language prompt into segment filters. | |
Predictive Segments | Scores customers for likely behavior, such as purchase or churn. | |
Recommendation Strategist | Selects products for each customer. |
How predictive models are trained and maintained is described in Insider One's Approach to Managing ML Tasks and Feature Selection Across Verticals.
How customer data is handled
Customer data processed by Insider One's AI features is not used to train the underlying foundation models.
AI configuration is scoped to your account, including the account identity, the agent types you have enabled, and any knowledge base content you supply. Model serving infrastructure is shared, in the same way the rest of the platform is shared across accounts.
Customer data rights, including access and deletion, work the same way for AI features as for the rest of the platform. See Insider One's Commitment to End Users' Rights.
Where to find contractual details
Hosting locations, the current sub-processor list, model providers, and retention terms live in your Data Processing Agreement rather than in this article. They are contractual commitments, and they change on their own schedule. Contact the Insider One team for the current documentation pack.
What to do next
AI features are scoped to your account, and Insider One does not use your data to train foundation models. For hosting, sub-processor, and retention specifics, work from your Data Processing Agreement rather than from documentation.
