Why is the campaign only visible after refreshing or going to the second page?
Some segment and rule conditions require users to navigate to a second page before they can be detected. For example, in cases involving custom segments or rules, such as location detection, the necessary data is gathered during the user's first page visit. Once the user moves to the second page, the condition can then be evaluated, and the campaign becomes visible.
What happens when a coupon code expires in one of the variations of a campaign, such as the Wheel of Fortune campaign? How should I manage it?
If a variation in your Wheel of Fortune campaign runs out of coupon codes, the campaign stops displaying.
To manage this:
- If you’ve set up fallback coupon codes, they’ll be used automatically.
- If not, you can upload new coupons for the exhausted variation.
- Alternatively, you can remove the variation from the campaign. Before doing so, ensure that you export all leads collected from that variation.
To avoid campaign interruptions, we recommend regularly checking coupon availability and ensuring all active variations have sufficient codes.

What is the Priority feature in the Launch step of OnSite campaigns?
Priority allows multiple campaigns to appear in a specific order on the same page. For example, if you have ten campaigns and want three to display in a particular order, you need to set priorities for all your active campaigns. This feature is available only for on-page templates in Web Suite.
How does Priority work?
Priority is determined by ranking: the lower the number, the higher the campaign's priority. For instance, if you set Campaign A to 0 and Campaign B to 1, users will see Campaign A first. If two campaigns have the same priority (0 or equal), the campaign with the earlier creation date will be shown first.
Can I display more than one on-page campaign simultaneously?
On-page templates will not be visible simultaneously except for the Side Coupon Menu, Back-to-Top Button, and Hamburger Menu. However, under Advanced Settings in the Launch step, you can configure the visibility of on-page templates based on priority.

Every user's log will be counted out after 24 hours at the beginning of every hour. The oldest data is kept for 24 hours and then deleted.
Can I use Social Proof in the Notification Center?
The Notification Center and Social Proof templates are completely different templates. Therefore, you cannot use Social Proof in the Notification Center.
Can I manipulate dynamic attributes on Social Proof?

Can I exclude out-of-stock products from Social Proof?

Can I append Social Proof to specific products only?
Yes, you can append Social Proof to specific products using Data Match. This allows you to display the Social Proof campaign only when a specific product ID is detected on the Product Detail Page (PDP).
Why is my Social Proof campaign invisible, even though the segment and the rules are met?
All requirements need to be met for Social Proof to collect data and be visible. Please get in touch with the Insider One team to check the required settings.
If I use two different variations with two different variables, which data will be available for the Control Group?
When you create a campaign with Control Group, both Control Group and Variant A will send a request to our Social Proof system. That is why you should see the sum of both in Variation A. If you create two variations with different dynamic variables, like daily purchase on Variant A and daily view on Variant B, the Control Group will only send logs according to the rules of Variant A. So, if there is no data for daily purchases on a product despite views on it, the Control Group will only work if the Variant A conditions are met.
What is the interval of @dailyPurchase in Social Proof?
It is 24 hours.
Can I add a GIF or video to my InStory campaign?

Why can't I see my Social Proof campaign even if I meet the segment and rule steps?
Inline campaigns are appended to a reference element on the website. If the reference element hasn’t loaded yet or is no longer visible on the website, the campaign will not display. In this case, you may need to wait for the reference element to load or select a different one.
Why am I receiving an error while duplicating a campaign?
A limit is applied to duplicating campaigns: You cannot duplicate a campaign more than 5 times at once. Otherwise, you'll receive an error.
The solution is to wait one minute and duplicate the campaign again. If you still receive the error, wait another two minutes and try to duplicate the campaign again without refreshing the page.
Why can't I create a Recently Viewed Items campaign?
If the addToCart system rule is not defined, you cannot use the Recently Viewed Items template.
Why doesn't the campaign appear on the test link, even though the segment and rules are met?
To find the reason, follow the steps below:
- Make sure that the language on your website matches the languages you set in the Launch step of your campaign.
- Check the Display Settings under the Launch step to guarantee that the testing time is within the selected time range.
- Check if the JS Update Time on the test bar is up to date. If it’s not, generate the panel again.
- If the campaign is an on-page template, it might be blocked if another on-page template is visible. You can check the “Active personalization on page” part on the test bar. Close that campaign, then refresh the page.
- If the campaign is an inline template, the element you selected to insert the campaign might not be found. You can check the “append element” on the test bar. Refer to the advanced location selector to select the exact element you want to insert into the campaign.
- If the campaign is a Social Proof template, ensure it is displayed on the product page and the product's views or purchases reach the minimum number.
- If your website has Cookie-Free integration solution, the campaign might not be visible until you accept the cookie.
- If you've checked all the steps above but still can’t resolve the issue, create a support ticket for the Insider One team.
Why doesn't the campaign appear on the test link even though the cookies have been accepted?
If you have Insider Tag integration:
1. If the test inspector isn't visible, check the Insider integration:
2. If it returns "initialized: false", check if the Insider Object is integrated. gdpr_optin parameter (under the user object) must be true.
3. If it returns an error, accept cookies, refresh the page, and try again.
Why can't I see the campaigns in the test link or on the website in the Safari browser?
Safari 17 introduces a new protection service that blocks known third-party trackers, including Google Tag Manager (GTM). This is a browser-level operation that cannot be resolved on Insider's side. To allow Google Tag Manager and enable the Insider Tag, click the Reload with Reduced Protections button in the browser's pop-up to disable protection.
If you integrate the Insider Tag via GTM, Safari’s new service will block the tag from loading initially unless the user reloads the web page with reduced protections. Alternatively, you can directly add a script to your web page's <head></head> tag without using the Google Tag Manager.
Why can't I see my inline campaign even if I meet the segment and rule steps?
Inline campaigns are appended to a reference element on the website. If the reference element hasn’t loaded yet or is no longer visible on the website, the campaign will not display. In this case, you may need to wait for the reference element to load or select an alternative one.
Why does the active campaign get passive even though all the settings are correct?
If your campaign becomes passive from an active status, check the points below:
- The activation time you set in the Launch step determines the duration during which your campaign will be active.
- Verify that all campaign configurations are correctly set
- Ensure the variant has enough coupon codes to support the campaign. You can remove the variant or add a new coupon code to it.
What should I do if the Action Builder doesn't load properly?
If you cannot open the Action Builder, follow these steps:
- Ensure the Insider Tools Extension is Installed.
- Disable Other Extensions – Some browser extensions might block the Action Builder.
- Enable Third-Party Cookies—Check your platform settings. If third-party cookies are disabled, allow them in your browser settings.
- Check for Console and Network Errors – If the issue persists, open your browser's developer tools (F12 > Console/Network) to identify any errors.
If the problem persists, contact the Insider One team with details of any error messages you encounter.

Why is the template code so extensive? Does it affect my website’s performance?
Template codes are designed to support a wide range of customization options, making them robust, adaptable, and fully trackable to meet your needs.
These codes do not negatively impact your website’s performance. None of the template’s HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is stored in the Insider Tag. Instead, all assets are fetched within milliseconds via a high-availability delivery system, ensuring minimal load time and optimal performance.
Here are a few key advantages of this approach:
- Adaptive layout: The code is optimized for web, tablet, and mobile platforms.
- Customizable: There’s no need to add new HTML elements or adjust their design manually—the existing code handles everything for you.
- Trackable: Events such as impressions, clicks, coupon views (if applicable), and closures are automatically tracked—no additional coding required.
- Lead collection: All relevant events are saved and reflected in User Profiles for easy access and analysis.
How does the countdown work?
The countdown is based on each user's local time zone, not the time zone of the panel user. This means it will expire at the same local time for every user, regardless of their location in the world.
For example, if the end time is set to June 23rd, 3 pm in the panel:
- Panel user’s time zone: UTC+1
For a user in UTC+3:
- Countdown ends at 3 pm UTC+3
- This corresponds to 1 pm UTC+1
For a user in UTC-3:
- Countdown ends at 3 pm UTC-3
- This corresponds to 7 pm UTC+1
This ensures a consistent experience for all users by aligning the countdown to their local time.
If a user is unsubscribed and submits an Email Lead Collection form, will they be automatically resubscribed?
No, submitting a Lead Collection form does not automatically resubscribe a user who was previously unsubscribed. Even if the opt-in appears as true in the form submission, the user's unsubscribed status will remain, and they will still not be reachable.
Lead collection forms primarily send identifiers (such as email) and do not update user attributes like email_optin by default. To resubscribe a user, you need to explicitly update the email_optin attribute—for example, by setting it to true in the insider_object, or by sending an Upsert API request.
Can I make a Lead Collection Web template display only on URLs with utm=insider? Does the template recognize UTM parameters?
The Lead Collection Web template allows you to configure display rules based on URL parameters, including UTM parameters. You can use Page Rules to target campaigns only to URLs that contain specific parameters, such as utm=insider. This means the Lead Collection pop-up can be configured to appear only for users who access the site through a link with this UTM parameter, as in Insider email campaigns. In other words, the template recognizes parameters in the URL—including UTMs—not just the fixed parts of the address.
Why is the Lead Collection pop-up not appearing according to the UTM URL rule I created?
- Make sure the rule is configured with the exact parameter (UTMs are case-sensitive).
- Verify that the UTM parameter is included in the final URL displayed to the user.
- Ensure there are no redirects that remove or change the UTM parameter.
- Check that the Insider Tag is correctly integrated with your website.
- If you are using Insider Object for custom rules, confirm it is defined before the Insider Tag.
- Test in an incognito window with only one tab open, and confirm the campaign is active and within its display period.
- Remember that UTM rules are not the only factor—segmentation and other active campaign rules can also affect visibility. For example, even if the UTM rule matches, the pop-up will not show if the user does not meet the segment conditions, or if another campaign on the same page overrides the display.
