FAQ about Cart Reminder App Push Notification

Prev Next

Do we need any extra integration for Cart Reminder, even if we've already implemented the advanced rich push notification integration?

Yes, you need to integrate the Cart Reminder method. Refer to Android, iOS, React Native, Flutter, and Cordova for further details.

How does the app user see the Cart Reminder push notification?

  • If the user abandons one item in the cart, they will receive a standard rich push notification.

  • If the user abandons two items in the cart, they will receive a standard rich push notification with the last item added to the cart.

  • If the user abandons three to six items in the cart, they will receive a Carousel Rich Push notification.

  • If the user abandons more than six items in the cart, they will receive a Carousel Rich Push notification with the last six items added to the cart.

  • If the user adds three items to the cart and removes one, they will receive the last item in the cart based on the history.

  • If the user adds two items to the cart and abandons them, then returns and adds one more item to the cart, they will receive a carousel Push notification.

  • If users add items to the cart and clear them, they will not receive any push notifications.

  • If the user abandons the cart and comes back and clears the item(s), no push notification will be sent.

  • No push notification will be sent if the user abandons the cart and comes back to the app before the push notification is sent and makes a purchase.

  • If the user adds the same item to the cart more than three times, they will receive a Standard Rich Push notification with only one item.

How many products will we see in the push notification if we remove one of the four products in the cart?

You can not see the removed product in the push notification. You will see the remaining ones.

Can we use the Cart Reminder function for scenarios other than cart abandonment?

The only event pair that can be selected in the panel are item_added_to_cart and item_purchase. However, during the integration process, you can configure and use different event pairs in the panel.

Can I launch different Cart Reminder scenarios with various event sets at the same time?

No, you can only use the predefined event set decided in the integration process.

The Cart Reminder campaign results show two different results: Rich and Interactive. What does this mean?

The pushes delivered with the Rich Push format appear under the Rich metric. Pushes delivered with the Carousel format appear under the Interactive metric.

We strongly suggest that it be the Cart Page deep link to get the user to start their journey at the right step.
