WhatsApp Campaign Agent is your conversational builder for WhatsApp templates and campaigns. Describe what you want in plain language, and it creates the message template, submits it for Meta approval, and builds a real WhatsApp campaign draft from an approved template. You stay in control: nothing is ever sent, launched, or scheduled without you.
What WhatsApp Agent does
You describe the campaign you want. For example, you can say "Create a WhatsApp campaign that says 'Sale ends tonight, don't miss out.'" WhatsApp Agent uses an approved template that matches your message, or creates a new one and submits it to Meta for approval. It then builds a Single Message campaign draft with that template and a conversion goal, saves it as a real draft in the product, and hands you a link to finish and launch it yourself. It walks you through what is still missing, usually the audience, and only saves once you approve.
Create and manage message templates
WhatsApp campaigns are built on message templates that Meta must approve before you can use them. WhatsApp Agent creates and manages these templates from chat.
Create templates in Marketing and Utility categories. Describe the message, and WhatsApp Agent builds the template for that category.
Write the body. Message text with personalization variables from your catalog.
Add a header and footer. Static text only.
Add buttons. Up to two URL buttons (static or dynamic URL) and one phone call button, which you can use together in the same template.
Preview before you submit. See how the template will look before saving it.
Save, update, and submit. Save a template as a draft, keep editing it, and submit it to Meta for approval when it is ready.
How WhatsApp Agent helps you
Draft a WhatsApp campaign from chat. Build a Single Message campaign draft with a Meta-approved template. Start a new campaign or continue an existing one, with a clear line between the draft it builds and the live campaign in the product.
Configure campaign settings. Fill in template variables with personalization, and set click tracking, short URLs, and UTM parameters for your links.
Write and refine the template content. Compose or reword the template message, using only real personalization fields from your catalog, never invented placeholders.
Set the conversion goal. Define the campaign's goal and conversion window. WhatsApp Agent defaults to a standard sales goal unless you ask for a specific one.
Pick the phone number. Choose the WhatsApp Business phone number to send from. WhatsApp Agent asks only when there is a real choice to make.
Check before it saves. Validate the message content, confirm personalization fields are correct, and catch unsupported requests early.
Save a real draft. Once the template, goal, and audience are in place and you approve, WhatsApp Agent saves a draft campaign and reports the campaign ID.
Send a test message. After a draft is saved and you explicitly approve, send a one-off test WhatsApp message to a validated number.
Save and reuse as a blueprint. Keep your message, goal, and configuration as a reusable blueprint, so you can start from it again instead of rebuilding it each time.
Find existing campaigns. Look up a WhatsApp campaign by name or ID to review or continue it.
Example prompts
"Create a Marketing template that says 'Sale ends tonight, 20% off everything' with a Shop Now button linking to our sale page."
"Add the customer's first name to the template body."
"Add a Call Us button with our support number."
"Submit the template for approval."
"Create a campaign with the approved 'Flash Sale' template and add UTM parameters."
"Set the goal to purchases within 3 days."
"Send a test to my number."
Build and save a WhatsApp draft
Describe the message. Tell WhatsApp Agent what you want to send. It uses a matching approved template, or creates a new template for you.
Get the template approved. If you need a new template, review the preview, then let WhatsApp Agent submit it to Meta. You can build the campaign once Meta approves it.
Build the campaign draft. WhatsApp Agent creates a Single Message campaign with the approved template, fills in personalization, and applies click tracking, short URL, and UTM settings.
Set the goal and phone number. Confirm the conversion goal and window, and pick the phone number if there is more than one option. WhatsApp Agent applies a standard sales goal by default.
Add the audience. Tell it who the campaign is for. The audience specialist selects the segment in the same draft, so WhatsApp Agent hands this off instead of guessing.
Review and approve. WhatsApp Agent checks the message content and personalization fields, shows you what it will save, and waits for your approval.
Save, test, and finish. On approval, it saves a real draft campaign and gives you the campaign ID and a link. Send a test message if you like, then open the campaign in the product to review and launch it when you are ready.
Save and reuse as a blueprint
The WhatsApp campaign that WhatsApp Agent builds with you is a blueprint: a structured draft you can preview in chat, open on a full canvas, edit, and keep. Once you have shaped a message, goal, and configuration you like, save it and reuse it instead of starting from scratch each time.
Save versions as it evolves. Keep iterating on your campaign without losing earlier states, and rename or remove versions as needed.
Save it to your library. Store the blueprint so you can reuse it whenever you need it.
Reuse it in a new chat. Add a saved blueprint from your Library, or mention it in a conversation, to continue from where you left off. This is useful for recurring sends such as weekly promos or flash sales.
Good to know
It only ever saves drafts. WhatsApp Agent never sends, launches, schedules, or activates a live campaign. You always launch the final campaign in the product.
It does not pick your audience. A separate specialist handles targeting and segment selection. WhatsApp Agent focuses on the message and goal and hands off the audience work to the same draft.
Campaigns use approved templates only. A campaign can only be built with a template Meta has approved and whose structure WhatsApp Agent supports. Templates pending approval cannot be used yet.
Campaigns keep the template's buttons. A campaign follows the button structure of the template you select and cannot add or change buttons.
Some template features are created in the product. Quick reply buttons, coupon (copy-code) buttons, other button types, media headers, carousels, headers or footers with variables, and Authentication (OTP) templates are not supported in WhatsApp Agent. The same limits apply when you select an existing template.
It does not delete templates. Remove templates from the product directly.
Personalization uses real fields only. It inserts personalization from your actual catalog, never placeholder or demo text.
Test messages need your go-ahead. A test WhatsApp message only sends after a draft is saved and you explicitly approve it.
Be specific for sharper results. Include the message, the offer, the buttons, and the goal. For example, "20% off with a Shop Now button, purchases within 3 days" works better than "a sale message."
