Databricks

Prev Next

Databricks is a unified data and analytics platform designed for large-scale data engineering, analytics, and machine learning workloads. It enables organizations to store, process, and analyze data such as customer profiles, behavioral events, and transactional records across data lakes and data warehouses.

Import Data from Databricks to Insider One

You can establish Insider as an output in Databricks’s ecosystem and send data from Databricks to Insider One. With this integration, you can share user and event data stored in Databricks with Insider One using Databricks Secure Data Share. This method eliminates the need for ETL pipelines, reduces maintenance, and keeps costs low. Once connected, Insider One will regularly sync the shared data to keep your profiles and events up to date.

Export Data from Insider One to Databricks

You can export your user and event data from Insider One to Databricks using one of the following methods:

  • Delta Sharing (Open Sharing) (recommended): Insider One shares your data directly with your Databricks workspace through Databricks-to-Databricks Delta Sharing. No intermediary storage or ETL pipeline is required. After you accept the share and mount it to a catalog, Insider One keeps the shared data synchronized automatically.

  • Cloud storage as an intermediary: Insider One exports your data to your Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, or Azure Blob Storage bucket. Databricks then ingests the data using your preferred pipeline. This option is suitable if Delta Sharing does not fit your environment or integration requirements.
