The Location segment determines a user’s location based on the IP address their device last used. An IP address is assigned by the internet access point and can be pinpointed to a general area. The last known IP helps locate the user’s device for targeted campaigns.
Requirements
To use the Location segment:
Web Suite: Location information is collected automatically by default
Mobile App Suite: Each app must submit location tracking permission to Google and Apple. Once approved, Insider can automatically retrieve the user’s location
How to configure the Location segment
You can segment users by:
City: Select one or more cities where the user was last located.
Country: Select one or more countries where the user was last located.
