You can keep the customer updated on their order (placed, being prepared, ready) on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, without them re-opening the app. For example, you can trigger a live order-status update while the meal is prepared.
Insider offers an API-based Live Activities capability that lets the customer’s backend start, update, and end an iOS Live Activity so order progress updates in near real time.
Two integration flows are available:
Push-to-Start (iOS 17.2+)
SDK-First (iOS 16.1+, where the app starts the activity and Insider One’s Mobile SDK forwards the token).
The customer controls the lifecycle from its own backend; the content schema and on-device rendering belong to the customer app.
