Send an Array of Objects Event Parameter with Mobile SDKs

Prev Next

Send an Array of Objects event parameter with the Insider One mobile SDKs to attach a list of structured objects to an event. You can also send the same data with the Upsert API.

Before you send the event, define the parameter and its structure in the Insider One panel. Keys that are not registered there are dropped when the data is received, while the request still succeeds. For details, see Create an Array of Objects Attribute.

Send an event with an Array of Objects parameter (SDK)

The Android, iOS, React Native, and Flutter SDKs use the same method name to add the parameter to an event. Pass the parameter key and the list of objects.

SDK

Method

Signature and examples

Android

addParameterWithObjectArray

Android SDK Event Object

iOS

addParameterWithObjectArray

iOS SDK Event Object

React Native

addParameterWithObjectArray

React Native SDK Event Object

Flutter

addParameterWithObjectArray

Array of Objects event parameters are insert-only: once sent, they cannot be updated. To correct a value, send the event again with the correct payload.

Choose between the SDKs and the Upsert API

  • Use the Mobile SDKs to send the parameter from your mobile app as part of the event the user triggers.

  • Use the Upsert API to send events from your backend or another system. The payload structure, ingestion behavior, and error messages are described in Send Event Data with an Array of Objects Parameter.
