The first step of the Email Setup process is to understand your previous email usage. This includes your past deliverability performance, sender reputation, and the overall quality of your subscriber base. With this context, the Insider One team can configure your email setup to protect your sender reputation and maximize inbox placement from day one.
To achieve this, the system asks a few short questions and use the answers as follows:
1. What is the total number of subscribers on your platform?
This helps us understand your sending scale and create a safe email warm-up plan that avoids sudden spikes in volume.
2. How often do you send email messages to your subscribers?
Learning how frequently you send your email campaigns will help the Deliverability Specialists at Insider One determine the best warm-up needs for you.
3. How did you acquire these subscribers?
Understanding the source through which you acquired your email subscribers will help us assess the quality of your subscriber list.
High-quality, permission-based lists drive stronger engagement, reduce spam complaints, and improve your overall sender reputation.
If you select First Party Source (e.g., your own website, app opt-in, checkout, forms, etc.), provide your sign-up link.
If you select Second Party Source (e.g., partner referrals, co-marketing with consent, etc.), provide a description on how you have acquired this user information.
4. Have you used any email service providers before Insider One?
This gives insight into your historical sending behavior and existing sender reputation, which may impact how inbox providers initially evaluate your emails.
5. What are the most common email domains among your subscribers, and how many users belong to each domain?
Inbox providers such as Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo evaluate senders differently. Understanding domain distribution helps us optimize deliverability and email warm-up strategies for each provider.
Once you’ve answered these questions, you can continue with the rest of the setup, confident that your email configuration is tailored for strong deliverability and long-term sending success.
