Configure Web Push in Salesforce Journey Builder

You cannot make any changes to External Platform Integrations without having either an Administrator or an Editor with PII access in InOne. Refer to User Roles for further information.

The Salesforce integration enables you to incorporate Insider One's messaging products directly within your Salesforce account. With the Salesforce and Web Push integration, you can seamlessly integrate Insider One's Web Push product into your Salesforce journeys as a Custom Activity. 

The Salesforce and Web Push integration streamlines your marketing efforts by allowing you to leverage Insider One's powerful Web Push marketing capabilities directly within the Salesforce environment.

To use Insider One's Web Push product in your Salesforce journeys, you should:

Create a custom activity

To create your custom activity, follow these steps:

  1. Click your user name to navigate to Setup.
  2. Go to Apps > Installed Packages. 
  3. Click the New button on the top right of the screen.
  4. Enter a name and description for the package, and click the Save button.

Set activity properties

  1. Click on Add Component below, choose Journey Builder Activity, and click the Next button.
  2. Fill in the following component fields. Make sure to replace the partnerName in https://salesforce.api.useinsider.com/{partnerName} before adding your URL. Then click the Save button. 
    partnerName is your InOne account name that you can see in the top right corner of your InOne panel.
  3. After saving this step, click the Add Component button again.
  4. Choose API Integration and click the Next button.
  5. Choose Web App and click the Next button.
  6. Fill in the URL, and select the channels you want to use with the activity. Make sure to replace the partnerName with your Insider One partner in https://salesforce.api.useinsider.com/{partnerName}/index.
  7. Under Data, enable the Data Extensions boxes, and click the Save button. 
  8. Once you save the previous step, you will see a summary page as follows.

Build journeys with Insider One's Web Push

  1. Select your app in Journey Builder.
  2. After you fill in the necessary fields, continue with the rest of the process.

Now that you have completed this configuration, you can start leveraging Insider One's Web Push notifications.
