How do we track the users who have deleted the application?

Every night at 00:00, a silent push is sent to each user. Furthermore, users who don't receive the push are considered dead and registered as uninstalls.

Can we track uninstall users on the iOS platform?

Yes, we can track users who deleted the application, regardless of platform.

Can we export uninstall users selecting multiple identifiers?

No, you can only export users using a single identifier.

When we export the uninstall data, whose email address receives the file?

The list of uninstalls file is sent to the panel user's email address who made the request.

What can be the reason for a peek on a specific day in uninstall analytics?

There can be two reasons for such a peek:

  1. The campaigns the customer sent that day or the application's crashes might have caused users to delete the application that day.

  2. Due to rare technical issues, the uninstall numbers may not sometimes be delivered on their exact dates. If the uninstalls are registered lower than the actual numbers for previous days, the system registers the uninstalls that should have been registered previously up to the peak day to avoid losing data. There is no loss of data, but the missing uninstall numbers are compensated on the peak day.

What can be the reason for showing 0 uninstalls for iOS users?

Since uninstall analytics works by sending silent pushes to users, there could be an issue with push notifications. Moreover, the push notification server state might be in development rather than production. In this case, the push notifications are not sent to the live application.

What can be the reason for the difference in uninstall numbers compared to other tools that customers are using?

The calculation method for uninstalls and the definition of uninstalls might differ by tool. Thus, this might cause the difference.

Do we track the uninstall users who didn't give push permission?

No, Insider One cannot track uninstall users who didn't grant push permission, because uninstall tracking relies on push tokens. If a user declines push permission, the app cannot generate the device token required to detect an uninstall event.

Do we need extra integration for uninstall analytics?

No, there is no extra integration that a customer needs to do. On the other hand, it is required to enable uninstall analytics in the panel.
