Is there any character limit for the push notification content?
No, there is no such limit. You can create your push notifications with as many characters as you want. On some Android devices, the text might be trimmed depending on the device model, which is not caused by the Insider panel. It is also strongly suggested to use the most optimal character limit and to check the preview of the push notification while creating it.
Are there any best practices for the character limits to be used in the push notification content on Android and iOS?

What is a Control Group?
The control group represents the user group to which the push notification will not be delivered to. Take, for example, a control group with a 20% allocation in a campaign. This means 20% of users will not receive the campaign. The results of the control group are also reflected in the campaign results. The best way to use the control group is to test the impact of the push notification on the user behavior in the app.
Can I send a push notification with a GIF image?
Yes, as long as the requirements below are met:
- Your current SDK version should be higher than 6.1.
- The size of the GIF image should be less than 3MB.
- The recommended resolution for GIF images is 1280x720px.
I sent a rich/GIF push notification but the image is not delivered to the user's device. What could be the reason?
First of all, please make sure the image push notification is correctly implemented.
The first reason might be an unstable internet connection. Since the images need some time to be downloaded by the device, a weak internet connection might cause this issue. Make sure to have a stable internet connection and try sending it again.
Another reason for this issue might be your app version. If the new app version you're currently using does not have the advanced feature, you will not receive the images.

How can I use dynamic content in the push notifications?
Custom attributes should be added in the push notifications to be able to use dynamic content. For example, if you use the last_visited_product attribute in the message, it will be replaced with a dynamic value for each user depending on their last visited products.
What is the recommended image resolution for the Rich pushes with images?
There isn't any resolution restriction for rich images but the recommended size is 1024x512px.
I added an emoji to my push notification text, but it does not appear on some devices. What could be the reason?
On some devices with out-of-date versions, the latest emojis may not appear for that they are not in the device's keyboard library.
Can I add a unique coupon code to the push notifications?
No, unique coupon codes can be added only to app templates except for Social Proof and WhatsApp Trigger.
Which page are users directed to upon clicking when there is no deep link added in the push notification?
If no specific page is given during the integration, users clicking on pushes without a deep link will be directed to the application's landing page. The landing page is determined in the integration step by the app developers.
How many different variants can be generated when running A/B testing?
You can generate 8 different variants and one control group at most.
Can each A/B test variant have different deep link values?
Yes, variants of an A/B test can have different deep links for each.
Can each A/B test variant be delivered at different times?
No, each variant of an A/B test is delivered at the specified time.
Can I add badges on the application icon for the pushes sent from the InOne panel?
There is no such feature. However, using the deep links, the application developer can make the necessary development and display a badge.
What happens when I delete a scheduled push notification? Will it still be sent to the users?
No, this push notification will not be sent to any user when deleted on the panel.
Can I edit the ongoing push notifications?
No. In order not to create any discrepancy in the data on the Notification Result page, a live push notification cannot be edited. Once you have deactivated and cloned the push notification, you can make changes and launch them back as a new campaign.
Can I send push notifications to users in a batch?
Yes, you can. Go to Delivery Options on the Application Settings > Push Notification page. With this adjustment, for example, a push notification can be sent to 10,000 users every 5 minutes.
Will the push notifications be delivered to the users if the campaigns with batch delivery are deleted on the panel before they are already delivered?
Yes, batch deliveries reach users within the specified rules even if they are deleted from the panel as they are logically right now. In case of an emergency, you can contact the Insider One team to stop this submission.
How does the Send Time Optimization feature work for push notifications?
Send Time Optimization collects historical information about push notifications or campaign opens and saves it per user. Then it calculates the best time in the day of the week and hour of the day at which push notifications should be sent. That time has the highest probability for the push notifications to be opened by the end user. It functions based on a predictive/machine learning algorithm that calculates the time of the highest probability per device/user to open a push notification.
What is the difference between Send Time Optimization 4h and 24h?
It differs in terms of the period that is covered. If you select Send Time Optimization as 4h, it will cover the next 4 hours after the application is launched. Users whose optimal time to contact is not in that 4-hour period will receive the push notification immediately. And 24h will cover the next 24 hours.
How many campaign goals can be added to a campaign?
You can add a maximum of 5 purchase goals and 5 campaign goals. It is strongly recommended to add the steps which serve for one ultimate goal. For example, if your ultimate goal is to track item_purchase, you can add product_visited, item_added_to_cart, and item_purchased as campaign goals.
Can I add goals to a live campaign?
No, this is not possible. Since campaigns cannot be edited once launched, you must add goal values when setting up the campaign.
Can a custom sound be added to the notifications?
Yes. To do this, you must add your audio file to the project in MP3 format using the relevant section of the documentation. Refer to Android and iOS guides for the respective steps.
Is there any size limitation for the audio files to be integrated?
No, there is no such restriction on audio files.
Can I stop the delivery of a push notification campaign that has already been launched?
No, since the delivery of a single campaign is executed very quickly, it is not possible to cancel the push notification which is set to be sent Right Now.
What is the average sending time of push notifications?
Insider can send over 2 million push notifications in 1 minute. However, the sending capacity may also be influenced by Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) quota limits, which dynamically vary per application. For example, the minimum quota for normal applications is 600,000 requests per minute, while larger applications can have higher limits, such as 1 or 2 million requests per minute.
If the quota is exceeded, Insider's retry system ensures queued messages are delivered after the minute resets.
Why does not the rich image in a single standard push notification show up?
It depends on the integration.

Why don't I see the impressions of any InApps triggered by push notifications with deep links (internal or external)?
Internal and external deep links block InApps when used with InApp from push. Instead, key-value pairs should be used for push notifications.
Which parts of a push notification can be A/B tested?
You can change the display, title, and description of a push notification in its variants and A/B test them. The deep links and settings such as frequency capping, timing, segments, etc. need to be the same for the variants of a push notification.
Are campaign goals defined through events or attributes?
You can define events and event parameters as campaign goals. Attributes are not supported as campaign goals.
Why is our app push campaign still in the Scheduled status even though the start time has passed?
If the app push is not sent at the set time, make sure to check your time zone in Mobile App Settings.
Why isn't our app push campaign finalized even though it was activated 4 hours ago?
Send Time Optimization sends app pushes to the users at the most appropriate time of the day based on their engagement data. For example, if the duration is set to 6 hours, the campaign will not be completed until the end of this duration as the system checks the most optimized time of the users.
Time to Live sets the duration for how long the message will be kept. In any case, if the device is offline or temporarily unreachable, the users will not receive the push notification once the given period is over. If the Time to Live is 12 hours, the app push campaign will not be completed until the end of the TTL duration.
