Is there any character limit for the push notifications?
No. You can send push notifications by adding as many characters as you want. On Android, there may be interruptions in the push text sent to some models, but this limitation is due to the device's behavior, not the Insider panel.
Is there a recommended number of characters to write for Android and iOS push notifications?
For both Android and iOS, it’s recommended to keep your message title around 60 characters and your message description up to 160 characters to ensure proper display on most devices. For carousel and slider pushes, the image text (title and description) should ideally be limited to 40 characters each. These limits can vary depending on emojis, special characters, fonts, and dynamic attributes, so it’s important to test your messages to see how they appear across different devices and platforms
What is the logo in the push notification preview screen on the panel?
The icon here comes from the app store ID you provide when creating a shard. The given icon does not appear when the push notification is sent; it is a nice-to-have enhancement developed only for the push preparation screen. The logo that appears in push notifications sent live will be the application's own logo.
What is the minimum OS version to send rich push notifications for iOS?
The minimum OS version is iOS 10.
What is the recommended image resolution for the rich pushes with images?
There isn't any resolution restriction for Rich images, but the recommended size is 1024x512px.
Can we send a notification with a GIF?
GIFs are supported only on iOS devices. On Android, GIFs are not displayed as animations and will appear as static images. You can upload a GIF file up to 2MB in size, with a maximum resolution of 2048x2048 pixels. The recommended size is 1024×512 pixels with a 2:1 aspect ratio.
How can we push notifications with GIFs displayed on devices?
GIFs sent to iOS devices start playing automatically and do not stop.
We sent a rich/GIF push notification but the image is not delivered. What could be the reason?
If you are sure that the image push notification is correctly implemented, since the image needs time to be downloaded by the device, a poor internet connection might cause this issue. Please make sure your internet connection is good enough and try sending it again.
An emoji added to the push text does not appear on some devices. What could be the reason?
On some devices with out-of-date versions, the latest emojis may not appear. Because when an emoji not in the phone's keyboard library is used in a notification, it cannot be displayed on the device.
How can we add dynamic content to the push notifications?
Push notifications can include dynamic content in the title and description sections and in deep links. To add dynamic content to the message, the relevant content must be sent to us as an attribute.
How does dynamic content work for logged-out users?
When a user logs out, Insider One still associates that device with the last user who logged out. This means personalized content is still delivered based on their last known data. Rather than discarding past interactions or resetting the device to an anonymous user, Insider One assumes the logged-out user is still the device's primary owner. The key idea is that logging out doesn’t usually mean handing your phone to someone else; you are still the main user.
Can we add a unique coupon code to the push notifications?
No, unique coupon codes can only be added to InApps.
If no deep link is provided for push notifications, which page is shown when the user clicks the push notification?
If no specific page is given during integration, users clicking on pushes without a deep link will be directed to the application's landing page. The landing page is determined by the customer's developers during the integration step.
How close is the preview on the push preparation screen to the real push on a real device?
The preview section only gives you an idea of what the push will look like. Therefore, the real-world appearance may differ from its appearance here.
How many different variants can be generated when performing A/B testing?
You can generate up to 8 different variants.
Can A/B tests give different deep link values for each variant?
Yes, you can have different deep links for different variants. All variants can have different deep link information.
Can the A/B test be submitted at different times for each variant?
No, for each variant generated, the submission is made at the specified time.
What is the Control Group?
The control group represents the user group for whom the transmission will not go. For example, if you set the Control Group value to 20% in a campaign, 20% of users will not receive the corresponding campaign. The Control Group's results are also reflected in the campaign results.
Which SDK versions support Internal URL, External URL, and JSON type deep links?
You can use URL-type deep links in SDK 7.5 and above. If the version is below 7.5, a deep link can only be provided as a Key-Value pair.
A deep link is entered in Push or InApp, but the redirect does not happen. What could be the reason?
Two different reasons might cause this. First, the customer's deep link was entered into the panel incorrectly. Second, deep link integration is completed or not implemented successfully.
Where can we access the application's deep link values?
The customer and application developer should handle the deep links. It is the customer's responsibility to enter and correctly integrate this information.
Can we add badges on the application icon for pushes sent from the panel?
No such development is available currently. However, through a deep link, you can configure the necessary development and show a badge.
Can we add links in push notification texts that users can click to go to?
No. In push notifications, you can only link to the entire push using a deep link.
If a push we set up to send later is deleted from the panel before the scheduled time, will the push notification still be sent to users?
No, sending will not occur when pushes that have not been sent are deleted from the panel.
Can we delete the already launched push that was sent with Right Now?
No, since the delivery of a single campaign takes place very quickly, it is not possible to cancel the push that is set to be sent Right Now. However, if you have applied Message Throttling to your campaign, you can pause delivery while the push continues.
Can we edit push notifications?
No. To avoid interfering with the data on the Notification Result page, the live standard push cannot not edited. Once you have deactivated and cloned the push, you can make changes and take the new campaign live.
What is the average sending time of push notifications?
Average 2 million push notifications in 1 minute.
Can we send push notifications to users in a batch?
Yes. Go to Settings > Mobile App Settings > Delivery and Conversion to configure the message throttling. With this adjustment, for example, a push notification can be sent to 10,000 users every 5 minutes.

If campaigns with batch delivery are deleted from the panel before all push notifications have been delivered to users, will all the pushes still be delivered?
No, it will not be sent to the remaining users. There is a pause option.
How does the Send Time Optimization feature work?
Send Time Optimization collects historical information about push or campaign open and saves it per user. Then it calculates the best time in the day of the week, and the hour of the day that pushes should be sent. That time has the highest probability of being opened by the end user. There is an algorithm behind it that calculates per device/user, so this means a predictive/machine learning script for the highest probability to open a push.
What’s the difference between Send Time Optimization 4h and 24h?
The period that’s going to be covered. If you select Send Time Optimization 4h, it’ll cover the next 4 hours after you launch the application. Users whose optimal time to contact is not in that 4-hour period will receive the push immediately. 24h will cover the next 24 hours.
Suppose we set delivery options to 10K in 5 minutes for a campaign which is to be sent to 400K audience and also set Send Time Optimization Delivery (2 hours). According to the delivery rule in that scenario, the 240K audience should receive the app push within 2 hours. However, we have Send Time Optimization delivery (2 hours) at the same time. How will the pushes be delivered in that scenario?
Notifications are sent to the users by taking into account the batch sending made directly by the delivery options. It is not possible to run both features simultaneously.
How many campaign goals can be added to a campaign?
You can add up to 10 goals.
Can a goal be added to a live campaign later?
No. Because campaigns cannot be edited, you must add goal values when setting up the campaign.
Can custom sound be added to the notifications?
Yes. To do this, you must add your audio file to the project by using the relevant section of the documentation.
If we have more than one custom sound in the project, can we use different sounds for different pushes?
Yes. If you write the name of the audio file you want to play on the push notification edit screen, you can send it with that audio type.
Is there any size limitation for the audio file to be integrated?
For iOS, Apple defines which formats are supported (Linear PCM, MA4, µLaw, aLaw), but doesn’t specify a file size limit. However, Apple recommends keeping the files small for better performance. For Android, the file must be in MP3 format.
Can we send push notifications in different groups for iOS 12+ devices?
Yes. You can send your pushes to different groups by defining the threads in the Insider panel.
Can we send push notifications from different channels on Android 8+?
Yes. To do this, create a new channel in Settings > Mobile App Settings > Channels and Threads > Android Channels.
No icon appears on the push notification when it is sent. What could be the reason?
The iOS will automatically change the icon, but for Android, both the relevant steps in the integration document have been completed, and the Google Material Design steps have to be completed.
Can we send provisional app push notifications?
No, this feature is currently unavailable.
