Google has detected apps containing the Huawei Location SDK that is incompatible with Google's User Data, Device and Network Abuse, and Developer Content policies.

Upon detecting this vulnerability, Google shared warning messages and/or app removal information with the app developers.

Not all applications are getting these warnings, as it might take Google some time to detect the non-compliant SDKs. New store updates increase the chance of detecting this type of SDK.

As Insider, we have included the Huawei Android Location Kit and dependencies in our Huawei Supported SDKs to provide our customers with access to the Huawei Messaging Service platform.

Insider also has non-Huawei SDKs available for customers who do not prefer to use the HMS-supported SDKs.

We have contacted colleagues at Huawei and confirmed that Huawei released a new SDK to remove this risk and eliminate this vulnerability. Insider platforms' SDKs already have the latest updated versions of Huawei SDKs.

To avoid any conflict within Google, we strongly suggest you communicate with your development teams and update your current SDK (if it includes HMS support) to our related SDKs. Please refer to our changelog pages for the related platforms:

Note that this issue is not related to Insider service or methods, and it is not Insider SDK-specific. As your partner and technology provider, we will continue to support the Huawei Service.
