To send out email campaigns to users, your brand must first receive specified, explicit, and legitimate opt-in permission confirming that the users wish to receive email messages from your brand. This opt-in must clearly state that this user is opting in to receive messages from your brand over the Email channel, and clearly state your business' name.

You can collect or share your users' consent information with the following methods:

Lead Collection Templates

Insider's desktop and mobile web lead collection templates help you collect your users' email addresses and their opt-in information. When your users give their consent to receive marketing content from your brand while sharing their email addresses with you, Insider automatically logs this information. In this case, you do not need to share any consent information for these users with Insider.

Insider Object for Email Integration

Insider Object is a JavaScript object integration that helps you share your users' consent to receive marketing content from your brand with Insider. Read more on Email Integration.

Upsert User Data API

Upsert User Data API is one of Insider's external APIs that you can call from your back-end. It helps you pass your users' consent information from your back-end (e.g. call center, CRM, etc.) to Insider. Read more on Upsert User Data.

Saved Static Segments

Saved static segments help you create your segments and use them on the Recipients step. Read more on Saved Segments.

Opt-in alone is not sufficient to target users through the email channel. To receive emails from your brand, users must be reachable—meaning they are active subscribers to your email channel.
A reachable user has a valid email address, has explicitly given consent, has not had emails bounce, has not marked emails as spam, and has not unsubscribed from email campaigns. Maintaining a high percentage of reachable users enhances email deliverability, boosts engagement rates, and improves overall campaign effectiveness.
