# WhatsApp

You can use WhatsApp's power to elevate your business communications with Insider One's WhatsApp APIs. Whether you need to send timely notifications, engage with customers interactively, or authenticate users securely, Insider One's APIs provide robust solutions tailored to your needs:

The **WhatsApp Template Management API** allows you to create, list, retrieve, edit, and delete WhatsApp message templates directly, without using the Meta panel. You can authenticate your requests either with [**Bearer Authentication**](/v1/docs/manage-whatsapp-templates-with-bearer-authentication) or with [**OAuth 2.0**](/v1/docs/manage-whatsapp-templates-with-oauth-2-0).

> [!NOTE]
> Insider One recommends creating WhatsApp templates through the **Template Creation API** rather than directly in the Meta panel. Templates created in the Meta panel are not guaranteed to work smoothly on Insider One's side, and their analytics might not be reported correctly. OTP and authentication templates are not supported in the InOne panel and can only be created via the API. The API can also be used to create marketing and utility templates, even though those types are supported in the panel.

[**WhatsApp Transactional API**](/v1/docs/whatsapp-transactional-api) allows you to leverage the popular WhatsApp platform to send your users important and timely notifications, alerts, updates, and other transactional messages.

The WhatsApp Marketing tool facilitates interactive messaging, enabling users to engage in conversations with businesses following the business's initial message. To ensure a seamless and efficient conversational experience, you can integrate a bot using the [**Conversational API**](/v1/docs/whatsapp-conversational-api) to effectively manage and respond to user messages.

> Both [Transactional API](/v1/docs/whatsapp-transactional-api) and [Conversational API](/v1/docs/whatsapp-conversational-api) can send marketing and utility messages. Use **Transactional API** for **one-way messaging**, and **Conversational API** for **two-way messaging**. Neither API enforces opt-in control, since neither is connected to UCD.

WhatsApp authentication templates help businesses authenticate users with one-time passcodes, typically comprising 4-8-digit alphanumeric codes. These codes are utilized across various stages of the login process, including account verification, recovery, and integrity challenges. You can use [**OTP for WhatsApp**](/v1/docs/otp-for-whatsapp) to enhance security and streamline the user authentication process.
