# Architect Journey Wait Elements

The "Wait" element allows users to take specific actions. Also, it allows you to define the duration of the journey users will experience. ‘Wait’ elements enable you to design your journey flow by spacing out communication over a desirable period to avoid overwhelming users with too many messages.
