# Predefined Segments: First Time/Last Time Open

The First Time / Last Time Open segment targets users who opened the [Mobile App](https://academy.useinsider.com/docs/app-templates) for the first time or most recently within a defined period. > This information is based on the user’s last update date information and is stored for 12 months after the last update.

## Requirements

To use this segment:

- The [Mobile App Suite](/v1/docs/app-integration-wizard) must be subscribed, activated, and integrated.
- There must be at least one user with a recorded app session in the Insider One database.

## Configure the First Time / Last Time Open segment

1. Select First Time or Last Time from the dropdown menu.
2. Set the time interval to define your targeting period.
