# Predefined Segments: Call an API Status

The Call an API Status segment targets users based on the success or failure of API requests sent to external tools via the Call an API channel within a defined time period. You can target:

- Users who had a specific number of successful responses.
- Users who had a specific number of failed responses.

## Requirements

To use the Call an API Status segment:

- [Architect](/v1/docs/introduction-to-architect) (with [Call an API](/v1/docs/architect-call-an-api)) must be subscribed, activated, and integrated.
- At least one active campaign using Call an API must exist.

## Advanced Filtering

You can refine this segment with event parameters:

- Event parameters are considered only if the Call an API channel exists in a specific journey.
- You can filter by journey name and channel element.

**Example**: Target users who had a successful request in X Call an API channel in Y journey
