# One-Click List Unsubscribe Header

Effective June 1st, 2024, **Gmail** and **Yahoo** require bulk senders to include a one-click list unsubscribe in the email header, per RFC-8058.

> - The one-click list unsubscribe under RFC-8058 must include the **HTTPS URL,** while the mailto support is **optional**.
> - Senders need to unsubscribe the user who clicks on the one-click unsubscribe header **within 48 hours**.
> - The one-click unsubscribe is **not** required for transactional emails.

Insider One includes the one-click list unsubscribe in the email header by **default**. That is why you do not need to worry about implementing the one-click list unsubscribe functionality. Insider One supports the one-click list unsubscribe for its customers in the following three use cases:

#### #1 - While customers are using **Insider One’s** **default unsubscribe links**

You can send the promotional email from Insider One's panel using the **default unsubscribe** links (including [bulk](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/email-campaign-types) and [Architect](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/architect-email) emails). Unsubscribe links can be either a [global unsubscribe or a preference center](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/using-default-global-unsubscribe-and-preference-center-in-emails).

#### #2 - While customers are using **Insider One’s** **custom unsubscribe links**

You can send the promotional email from Insider One's panel using the **custom unsubscribe** links (including [bulk](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/email-campaign-types) and [Architect](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/architect-email) emails).

- Unsubscribe links can be either a [global unsubscribe or a preference center](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/using-default-global-unsubscribe-and-preference-center-in-emails).
- You can see users who unsubscribe via the one-click list unsubscribe on the [User Profile](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/user-profiles-overview). The **Email Unsubscribe** event will have the **Unsubscribe Type** parameter with the *list-unsubscribe* value. This value indicates that the user clicks the one-click list unsubscribe and unsubscribes. If you export these users, you can unify their unsubscribes on your end. You can export them via the [Event Stream](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/data-stream#event-stream).

#### #3 - While customers are using **their own unsubscribe links**

You can send promotional emails from Insider One’s panel using your own unsubscribe links.

- You should [create a ticket](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/creating-support-tickets) for Insider One's Operational Excellence Team to **disable** **subscription tracking** in Sendgrid.
- You should [create a ticket](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/creating-support-tickets) for Insider One's Operational Excellence Team to **disable** the **unsubscribe validation**.
- You should **not** include any Insider One's default unsubscribe or custom unsubscribe links in the email templates.

You should also update Insider One for users who click the unsubscribe link in the email template and unsubscribe.

> If it is sent via the [Transactional Email API](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/send-transactional-emails-api), the one-click list unsubscribe header is not added to the email.
