# FAQ about Mobile App Dashboard Analytics

## When does the Total Engaged Users count decrease?

Two different calculation methods are in effect for this metric. If the customer uses [Uninstall Analytics](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/app-uninstall-analytics), this count decreases at 00:00. If the customer doesn't use Uninstall Analytics, the Total Engaged User count is updated after the customer receives any push notification.

## Can we see the Total Engaged Users count day by day on the panel?

No, you can only see the current Total Engaged User count.

## Is the Session graph the same as Active Users Today?

No, **Active Users Today** includes unique users who open the app at least once during the day. But the **Session** on the Sessions graph isn't unique. For example, a user opens the app twice a day; the Active Users Today count increases by 1, while the Sessions count increases by 2.

## When does a session start and end?

When users open the application, the session is started. When users kill the app or take it to the background, the session ends.

## How does the App Usage by Day and Hour graph work?

The App Usage Graph shows users' activity in the app by day and hour. Activity increases when the color gets darker.

## What is the refresh frequency of the App Usage graph?

The graph shows monthly data that refreshes instantly.

## What does the New User graph show?

The New User graph shows the number of new users who perform their first session in the app. It shows monthly data.

## Can we see how many users download the app in a day on the mobile platform?

No. For Insider to identify a user, the user must initiate a session at least once in an application that includes the Insider SDK. Therefore, because users who have downloaded the application but have not yet opened it cannot be identified, it is not possible to display the number.

## What is the unit of Average Session Duration?

The Average Session Duration metric indicates how long users stay active on average during a single session in the app. The value is measured in seconds.

## We only see the iOS devices on the Most Used Device Modals graph. Is this expected?

The Android platform has more than 200 different device models, while iOS has about 25. Therefore, when the total Android user count is divided by the model count, the user count per model is usually lower on Android.

## Can we see the statistics by platform? (Android/iOS)

Yes, you can change the platform you want to see statistics for at the top left of the panel.

## Can we customize the Mobile Dashboard statistic type base?

No, the dashboard page is static and unchangeable. You can't add new metrics or remove existing metrics.
