Single SMS enables you to send customized content to your subscriber base or to a segmented group within it. SMS solution engages subscribers on their mobile devices with personalized messages and drives growth. You can create campaigns with promotional content and send your messages on a future date and time. Navigate to **Campaigns** > **Messaging** > **SMS/MMS/RCS**.![](https://cdn.document360.io/c6df4583-da94-4cb2-bb8a-be0cbdd11109/Images/Documentation/image-OMIBLCSD.png) 2. Click the **Create** button, select **Single SMS Message,** and name your campaign. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c6df4583-da94-4cb2-bb8a-be0cbdd11109/Images/Documentation/image-1703749528748.png) ## Segment your audience 1. Select your **subscriber language** to create your content accordingly. Select "All Languages" if you do not need to tailor your SMS messages based on the user's language.![](https://cdn.document360.io/c6df4583-da94-4cb2-bb8a-be0cbdd11109/Images/Documentation/segment*.png) 2. Create a segment group to target the relevant audience if needed. You can use the following segmentation options: [Predefined Segments](https://academy.useinsider.com/docs/predefined-segments-overview), [Standard Segments](https://academy.useinsider.com/docs/standard-segments), [Predictive Segments](https://academy.useinsider.com/docs/audience-predictive-segments), and [Saved Segments](https://academy.useinsider.com/docs/saved-segments). ## Design your Single SMS message 1. To personalize your messages, you can add [**default**](/v1/docs/default-attributes) or **custom attributes** and create higher click-through rates (CTR) and conversions. We highly suggest you enter a fallback value if there is no value for the selected dynamic attribute. Single SMS does not support media content. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c6df4583-da94-4cb2-bb8a-be0cbdd11109/Images/Documentation/single_sms_design.gif) If you use characters other than GSM-7 in the SMS body, the SMS’s character limit will be reduced; therefore, your message’s part count will increase. To avoid it, enable the "Switch to GSM-7" toggle. Read [SMS Smart Encoding](https://academy.useinsider.com/docs/sms-smart-encoding) for further information. Regarding the regulations for sending SMS to subscribers, some countries may require you to add an [opt-out](/v1/docs/unsubscription-methods-for-sms) option in your message. 2. If you want to be inspired or need assistance when creating your message, you can always use the **Generate Text** option. When you check the "Show Unsubscription Sentence in a new line" option, the [unsubscription](https://academy.useinsider.com/docs/unsubscription-methods-for-sms) [sentence](https://academy.useinsider.com/docs/unsubscription-methods-for-sms) you defined in SMS Settings will appear in a separate line at the end of your SMS. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c6df4583-da94-4cb2-bb8a-be0cbdd11109/Images/Documentation/image-1754560230441.png) Note that the unsubscription sentence is included in the character limit, too. 4. You can also [shorten your URL](https://academy.useinsider.com/docs/url-shortener-for-sms). Configure your UTM settings automatically or manually. - To add custom tracking parameters, click **Add Tracking Parameter**. - You can remove any parameters that are not needed. - Global UTM parameters (default tracking parameters defined in your settings) are applied by default. The default selected goal is Purchases. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c6df4583-da94-4cb2-bb8a-be0cbdd11109/Images/Documentation/image-1711535347066.png) [**Goal Conversion Duration**](https://academy.useinsider.com/v1/docs/en/goals-browser-storage-settings#goal-conversion-duration) is the interval that starts after a user clicks a campaign for the first time. During that time interval you set, when your goal is achieved, the campaign will be logged as a conversion. ## Launch your Single SMS message Once you complete the rest of your campaign, it is ready to go. You can launch your campaign now, at a later date, or you can save it as a draft. On the right side of the screen, you will see an information area that shows the total number of recipients and whether it is all going well to send your message.![](https://cdn.document360.io/c6df4583-da94-4cb2-bb8a-be0cbdd11109/Images/Documentation/image-1725530081002.png) You can see whether the [Silent Hours](/docs/sms-silent-hours) is enabled, which helps your SMS messages reach users at more appropriate times of the day. You can assign or create tags for your campaign to reach it later easily.
