# Contacts Management

> **Contact Lists Are Being Replaced by Static Segments**
>
> We have transitioned from Contact Lists to [Static Segments](/v1/docs/static-segments) to provide a more unified, powerful, and future-proof segmentation experience.
>
>
>
> **Migration Details**
>
> We will automatically migrate your existing Contact Lists into [Static Segments](/v1/docs/static-segments):
>
> - Existing lists will be labeled in the Static Segments page.
> - Contact List actions (e.g., Add Manually, Upload) will be disabled.
> - Contact List UI elements (like the segment box) will be removed.
> - You will receive both a banner notification and an email once Contact Lists are fully deprecated.
>
> **Frequently Asked Questions**
>
> **Q**: What happens to my old Contact Lists? **A**: They will be automatically converted to Static Segments and labeled. No action is required unless we notify you otherwise.
>
> **Q**: Can I still segment users like I did with Contact Lists? **A**: Yes. You can now upload users as a [Static Segment](/v1/docs/static-segments) or create new ones using filters from the [User Profiles](/v1/docs/user-profiles-overview) page.
>
> **Q**: Will this affect my existing campaigns or journeys? **A**: Not immediately. However, we recommend switching to Static Segments for long-term stability.
