# Call An API Integration for Journeys

[Call an API](https://academy.useinsider.com/docs/architect-call-an-api) enables you to connect an outsource platform to your journeys to take any action with your contacts. For example, you can use this element for your CRM or call center actions. If you have an outsourced SMS provider, you can use this element to connect it to your journeys to send SMS.

To add any outsource provider to your journeys, use the [Call an API](https://academy.useinsider.com/docs/using-call-an-api) element.

Your title goes hereSuppose you plan to send your users messages (e.g., SMS, email) via the Call an API element. In that case, you need to pass the respective consent information of the user (e.g., sms_optin, email_optin, etc.) to Insider following the respective integrations.

Upon completing these steps, you can use the Call an API element to target your users on the outsource platforms as follows:

- Line
- WhatsApp Business API
- Zendesk
- Telegram
- Kakaotalk
- Viber
