# Blue Checkmark Icon for Emails

According to Google's Blue Verification Checkmark announcement on May 3, 2023, you can use an additional layer of trust opportunity for your brand. This checkmark is similar to the blue verified checkmarks on social media next to the sender's address and highlights that the sender is reliable.

## Requirements

To get a verified tick for Gmail: 1. You need to set up the [BIMI protocol](/docs/bimi-for-emails). 2. You must purchase **a verified mark certificate (VMC)** for your brand.

## Blue checkmark icon setup

Once you complete the requirements listed above, you can see the blue checkmark icon next to your sender address in the inboxes. This setup does not require any other configuration.
