# Architect Channel: Google Ads Integration

Before setting up Google Ads Customer Match in Architect, you need to ensure that you have the following items created and/or completed:

## Requirements

1. You need to have an **active Google Ads account** for your brand. 2. Your Google Ads account must satisfy the following conditions to use Google Ads Customer Match:

- A good history of **policy****compliance,**
- A good **payment****history,**
- At least **90 days history** in Google Ads,
- At least **USD 50,000** total lifetime spend.

3. You should accept the authorizations asked while logging in to your Google account and the Google Ads accounts you plan to use with Architect. Authorizations asked for are to:

- Associate your personal data on Google,
- See your personal info, including any personal info you’ve made publicly available,
- See your primary Google Account email address,
- See, edit, create, and delete your Google Ads accounts and data.

Your title goes hereThe first three authorizations are for logging in to your Google account, and the last one is for using Google Ads API for your Google Ads account. Without the last one, you are not allowed to use the Google Ads channel.

## Integration Steps

Google targets its users using their email addresses or phone numbers via an external data source. That's why you need to pass your users' email addresses or phone numbers, as well as GDPR opt-in information, to Insider before starting to use Google Ads Customer Match in your journeys. You can use [Upsert User Data API](https://academy.useinsider.com/docs/api-reference-upsert-user-data) or [Web SDK integration](https://academy.insiderone.com/docs/insider-web-sdk-integration-guide) to pass this data.

> If your company obtains your users' consent in compliance with the **local regulations**, make sure to pass the GDPR opt-in field to Insider One. If you want to **stop** collecting and processing the data of an identified user, GDPR opt-in field should have the *false* value. Insider One cannot be held liable if these obligations are not fulfilled and reserves the right to seek compensation from your company.

To configure Google Ads for your journeys:

1. Navigate to **Architect** > **Settings** > **Google Ads Integration**.![](https://cdn.document360.io/c6df4583-da94-4cb2-bb8a-be0cbdd11109/Images/Documentation/image-1734075120733.png)
2. Click the **Sign in with Google** button to authenticate with your Google account. Once you authenticate it, the integration will require permission to access any Google Ads account linked to your Google Ads account.

4. Save the settings.

In the Google Ads element on the journey, you can now create an audience, add users to an audience, or remove users from an audience.
